HaHa Money Privacy Policy

Effective Date: May 31, 2026

1. Introduction

HaHa Money (“we”, “our”, or “the App”) is a personal finance tracking application developed by HaHa Studio. This Privacy Policy explains what data stays on your device, what limited technical data may be processed when certain platform services are enabled, and what choices you have.

3. Data We Process

3.1 Bookkeeping Data Stored Locally

Your bookkeeping content is stored locally on your device, including:

Transaction records
Category information
Account balances
Notes and other bookkeeping content
App settings and preferences

We do not upload your bookkeeping database to our own cloud for sync.

3.2 Limited Technical and Usage Data

On supported Android builds, the app enables Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to help us improve stability and understand product usage. These services may process limited technical and usage data such as:

App open events
App version and device/OS information
Crash logs and diagnostic information
Feature usage events, such as transaction add/edit/delete, data export, language changes, and currency changes
Limited event parameters such as transaction type, category identifier, amount range bucket, selected locale, selected currency, and theme mode

We do not intentionally send your full transaction records, notes, or exact transaction amounts to Firebase through these analytics events.

3.3 Third-Party Service Providers

We use Google Firebase as a service provider for analytics and crash reporting on supported Android builds. This means limited technical and usage data may be processed by that provider on our behalf.

We do not:

Sell your bookkeeping data
Use advertising SDKs
Show ads in the app
Upload your bookkeeping records for cloud sync

4. App Permissions and File Access

The app requests minimal access.

You can deny or revoke optional file access and still use the core bookkeeping features.

5. Data Security

We apply the following safeguards:

Sandbox isolation: In-app bookkeeping data is stored in the app sandbox on your device
Device-level protection: Your device security settings, such as screen lock or biometrics, help protect local data
No cloud sync for bookkeeping records: Your financial records are not synced to our own backend
Limited telemetry scope: Analytics and crash reporting are designed to avoid sending full bookkeeping content

No method of storage or transmission is perfectly risk-free, but we aim to minimize data exposure by keeping bookkeeping records local-first.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Uninstalling the app removes app data stored inside the app sandbox. It does not automatically delete backup files you exported outside the app.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, including if you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you may have rights such as:

The right to be informed
The right to access your data
The right to correct your data
The right to delete your data
The right to data portability
The right to complain to a supervisory authority

Because HaHa Money does not require an account, your bookkeeping data is primarily under your direct control on your device. You can access, correct, export, or delete that data from within the app or by uninstalling it.

8. Children’s Privacy

This app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice in the app.
