Everscena is a local-first, privacy-first personal memory gallery app. This policy explains what data Everscena processes, why it is processed, where it is stored, and what we do not do.
Everscena’s core photo, story, album, and memory features run locally on your device. Everscena does not upload your original photos, diary text, precise location data, or local smart analysis results by default, and it does not include third-party advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs.
Everscena needs access to your system photo library to display, organize, favorite, or delete photos, let you add photos to stories, show photo details, browse photos by time, and create local memory experiences.
The app does not copy your original photos into its private storage and does not upload original photos to a server. It may store local system photo references, selected metadata, thumbnail cache, tag relationships, favorite state, smart category results, and search indexes to support album organization, search, and memory features.
When you create a story or diary entry, the app stores the title, text, date, mood, weather, place text, tags, linked photos, and related metadata. This content is stored in the local database on your device and is used for the story timeline, detail pages, search, and memory pages.
Location access is optional. Everscena may use location data to auto-fill diary places, organize photo location clues, support place filters, and generate more readable memory narratives.
Location data is stored locally on your device by default. You can disable location permission in system settings, turn off location processing in the app, or clear related local data.
On iOS, when you search for a place or enable place-name lookup, Everscena sends the search text or coordinates needed for that request to Apple MapKit or Apple geocoding services to return a result. This processing is separate from Firebase telemetry; it does not upload your photos, diary text, or on-device analysis results to Apple map services.
Everscena performs basic on-device photo analysis to support smart categories, aesthetic scoring, cover candidates, monthly highlights, and search filters. These results are stored in the local database on your device and are not uploaded to a server by default.
Everscena uses Firebase Crashlytics and Google Analytics for Firebase to diagnose crashes and understand a small set of basic usage signals. The current version does not use Firebase Remote Config, Cloud Messaging, Performance Monitoring, App Check, Authentication, Firestore, or Storage.
Crashlytics and Analytics are disabled by default. Only after you explicitly allow telemetry may Firebase receive app identifiers, a Firebase installation ID, device model, operating system version, app version, crash type and stack trace with the original exception message removed, and predefined basic usage events. Event parameters are limited to code-defined enums, booleans, or counts and do not include search terms, tag names, album names, or actual route parameter values. You can withdraw consent at any time in Settings. Firebase is not used to upload original photos, diary text, precise location data, local smart analysis results, or free-form log messages.
If privacy lock is available and you choose to enable it, Everscena may call the operating system’s biometric APIs for authentication. The biometric process is handled by the operating system. Everscena does not receive, store, or upload your face, fingerprint, or other biometric identifiers.
Everscena processes data only to:
Except for the optional iOS map and geocoding requests described above, the current version does not share your photos, diary text, precise location data, local smart analysis results, or search indexes with third parties by default.
Everscena does not include third-party advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs. The app uses Firebase only for consented crash diagnostics and basic usage analytics. The app has no account system, so local photos, diary entries, and memories are not linked to an account identity.
Some system-level capabilities may be provided by the operating system, such as photo permissions, location, sharing, or biometric authentication. These capabilities are handled by iOS or Android and are subject to the relevant system permissions and platform privacy policies.
Everscena stores its core data locally on your device, including diary content, photo indexes, tags, places, smart analysis results, search indexes, and memory records.
You can clear selected local data in the app settings. Uninstalling the app generally removes the app’s local database and cache. Original photos in your system photo library are managed by the operating system; uninstalling Everscena does not delete your original system photo library assets.
Withdrawing telemetry consent immediately stops new telemetry and deletes unsent Crashlytics reports from the device. Reports already received by Firebase are retained according to Google’s applicable service terms and retention practices; contact us if you need help with a request that cannot be completed in the app.
Everscena provides personal photo and story organization features for general users. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information and do not provide child-directed advertising or tracking features.
If this privacy policy changes materially, we will update the policy in the app or on the public policy page and adjust the last updated date.
